Imagine if Eminem had access to a recording studio in his high school. Guess what? Heritage students have the platform to launch recording careers. The Heritage Records is a student-run record label. Founded by Trevor Shores and Malik Walker in the fall of 2012, it has produced two full albums. The first, Room 1613, released in May 2012, met with massive success. Within two weeks, the group received an invitation to a show at Enloe High School where they performed in front of 500 people...

Students will be "Rapped up in Rhyme" at Meet in the Street

May 2, 2014 - The beat poets Lawrence Ferlinghetti and William S. Burroughs popularized performance poetry and some pretty cool fedoras back in the day, however it will be Wakefield High School "Beats" Slam Poetry team who will be rocking it (the fedora)tomorrow at Wake Forest Today.com's first high school Rapped in Rhyme Poetry Slam. The WHS Beats will take on Wake Forest High's Wrappers (members are part of the theater group WRAP) and Heritage High School's poets and their rappers from Heritage Records will challenge.

Heritage High's rappers transcend the mundane and challenge the status quo

WAKE FOREST, April 25, 2014 - The Heritage Records dynamic duo, Infinite and T_$HO, team up to challenge the landscape of rap music with their release “Survival of the 4thKind.”  Produced by Infinite and Mr. Bullock, the album boast a sonic college of brain melting beats garnished with thoughtful, intelligent, and razor sharp lyrics.

Heritage Records on WRAL-TV

Word on the street in the Raleigh-Durham area is that "ROOM 1613", the Heritage Records debut album, is a hip hop masterpeice.... with some people even elevating it to classic status.. WRAL news reporter Brian Shrader recently came out to HHS to investigate...
